A catch-all mailbox receives messages sent to non-existent addresses under the exact same domain. For example, a message sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. Thus, you can get emails from pals or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at some point you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be redirected to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

In case you host a domain on our cloud platform and you’ve got a shared hosting account, you will be able to activate the catch-all functionality for any email mailbox that you create under the domain name. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel offers quite a few features, but it is really simple to use, so configuring a catch-all mailbox takes just a click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you have will be enumerated in this section in alphabetical order and you will simply need to click the "Catch-all" button associated with the particular email address. Our system will alert you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either turn off the latter feature or select some other mailbox. Disabling the catch-all option is just as easy and requires yet another click on the very same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all functionality can be enabled easily if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with us. All the email addresses that you’ve set up using the domain names hosted in your semi-dedicated server account will be enumerated in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you’ll find a small-size sign conveniently situated right next to each one of them. With only a click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your liking as long as there isn't another mailbox under that same domain name with the option already enabled and there isn't active email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on an email address and activate the feature through the menu that will pop up. In case any of the preconditions for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not met, our system will let you know, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
