Dot NAME Domain Names

Established in 2001, the Dot NAME universal extension is the single TLD intended for personal sites only. These domains can consist of personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other labels people are popular by. Initially, just 3rd-level registrations were possible, so if you planned to reserve john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already purchased 3rd-level domain names remained online.

Through our firm, you can order your dot NAME domain for a time interval between 1 and 10 years. You will have the opportunity to edit the WHOIS contacts, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an active domain to our firm if you take its EPP transfer code from the current registration service provider and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been done. There are no special regulations on who can reserve a dot NAME domain, but in order to keep the idea behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration can be challenged.
